Lean In! is a program designed by people like you for people like you, focused on the next step of your journey as a professional. Dedicated to blind and low vision high school graduates, the program builds skills of employment ranging from resume writing to interviewing with confidence. At the end, you’ll apply what you’ve learned by earning a paid summer internship. As a candidate of this program, you will have the opportunity to:

    • Participate in a myriad of activities including group discussions, self-assessments, and social media branding in order to strengthen your professional presence.

    • Understand what it takes to become an entrepreneur through presentations and a round table consisting of successful B/LV business owners and freelancers.

    • Work within a team environment to sharpen your communication and analytical abilities.

    • Connect weekly with a blind or low vision employment partner (EP) to receive support with program activities, the college environment, and ways of effectively approaching accommodations when employed.

    Mastering these skills is critical to achieving the career you desire. We will show you how.

    The program is offered annually October to August.
